Jamaica Suffers 4-2 Defeat to USA

The Reggae Boyz suffered a 4-2 defeat to USA Monday night in St. Louis, Missouri, in the second leg of their Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal encounter, after losing the first leg 1-0 at the National Stadium in Jamaica.
The US team which dominated the first half of the match opened the scoring in the 13th minute and doubled up in the 33rd. Continuing their dominance, the US team scored a 3rd goal in the 43rd minute.
The first half of the match ended with Jamaica taking two shots at the USA’s goal while America took three times as much with a total of 6 shots at Jamaica’s goal. “This was an obsolute horror show,” said a Reggae Boyz supporter at half time of the match.
Jamaica’s starting 11 vs The United States on Monday November 18 includes goalkeeper-captain Andrew Blake, Tayvon Howard Gray, Amari’i Kyren Bell, Damion Onandi Lowe, Di’Shon Joel Bernard, Gregory Alex Leigh, Joel Owen Latibeaudiere, Isaac Scot Hayden, Tyreek Anthony Magee, Leon Bailey, Shamar Amaro Nicholson.
The Reggae Boyz started the second half on the front foot with Demarai Remelle Gray scoring in the 53rd minute. Gray scored a second goal in the 67th minute to make the score 4-2.
The match ended 4-2 in favour of the USA, which means the US advances to the semi-finals of the Nations League. The final score over both legs is 5-2.

This latest match was a continued run of bad form against the USA, over the past 36 years, the Reggae Boyz only beat the USA 3 times out of 35 competitive matches played. America won an impressive 22 of the matches, while 10 of the matches ended in a draw.
