Footage Shows Suspected Killer Interacting with Journalist Barbara Gayle Before Murder

Following the death of veteran journalist Barbara Gayle, who was found dead at her home in Caymanas Country Club Estate, St. Catherine, on Tuesday morning, multiple camera footage has been released to the public.

The footage shows Gayle who was a longtime court reporter at the Jamaica Gleaner interacting with a male individual on her veranda seemingly giving him money at one point and talking to him about Jesus.

Footage also shows the suspect fleeing the area seemingly through the back exit of the yard. No name has been published regarding the man in the video, however, a notice was issued Tuesday night that the man is wanted by the police.

Gayle who was found fatally wounded at the location was a prominent figure in Jamaican journalism for over four decades. Check out the released footage below:

Reacting to the video on Instagram, one person commented, “Happy she had cameras. He might have left a lot of forensic evidence at the scene too. Shouldn’t take long to nab him.”

Another person said, “She knew him smh ! Look at his body language him nuh interested in wat she’s saying smh … couldve been robbery.”
