Aidonia Ignores Vybz Kartel on List of Artistes Who Influenced Him; Fans React

Dancehall artiste Aidonia recently shared a list of artistes who influenced his musical career. Unsurprisingly, Aidonia’s esteem list of Dancehall artistes does not include incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel. However, fans of Vybz Kartel were not having it as they voiced their disagreement with the list.

Aidonia posted his list of influential artistes, which also includes several photos via Instagram with the caption, “some of the artistes who influenced my journey. Oh and IG only allows 10 pics lol. Big up Spragga benz, terro fabulos, baby wayne, mad cobra, Super Cat, Ninja Man, Admiral Bailey, tiger, Papa San, Lt Stitchie, Professor Nuts.”

The list shouldn’t be surprising based on the current non-existing relationship between Aidonia and Vybz Kartel, who were once the best of friends, which saw them doing numerous collaborations. However, at some point, the friendship turned sour, leading to Aidonia voicing a few diss tracks aimed at Vybz Kartel, to which he got no reply.

But fans in the comment section under Aidonia’s Instagram post didn’t seem to care about their history as they called out the Addi A Mi Daddy deejay for Kartel’s exclusion from his list.

As one commenter puts it, “No Kartel My G?? Addi ami daddy who want vex?? Bro I’m one of your u.k followers from way back lol don’t do that my genna lol.”

In agreement, another commenter states, “Didi mi rate yuh but da post ya nuh legit if Kartel pic nuh next to killa.”

Despite a great deal of disagreement with Aidonia’s list by commenters, a few agreed with the list, including dj_ras_t, who says, “A the man list that.. a strength aidonia did a give kartel when him seh addi a him daddy like unu easily forget say a when alliance done wid kartel – aidonia do the song lol.”
