A’mari Says She was Arrested at Airport as She Attempts to Reach Jamaica for Her “Husband” Gully Bop’s Funeral – Watch Video and See Posts
Social media personality A’mari was reportedly arrested on Saturday after an altercation at a Spirit Airlines airport as she attempted to travel to Jamaica to attend Gully Bop’s funeral.
Gully Bop, born Robert Lee Malcolm, will be laid to rest on Sunday at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston, following his passing last year in October. Amari and Gully Bop had a tumultuous relationship several years ago before calling it quits after they got engaged.

A’mari had shared that she would be returning to Jamaica for the funeral. However, during an Instagram livestream earlier today, the Dutty Bungle singer could be seen engaged in a heated exchange at the airport.
During the live stream, A’mari accused an airline attendant of intentionally trying to sabotage her trip to Jamaica. She said the attendant had intentionally misinformed her about forms that needed to be filled out before her and her family’s flight.
The attendant could be heard off camera denying the allegations as A’mari further accused her of lying to her and purposely trying to block her from attending her “husband’s” funeral. Amari also accused the woman of targeting her because she knew that she was a celebrity and proceeded to fire multiple expletives at her.
After the altercation intensified, other staff intervened to defuse the incident. But Amari’s tirade appears to have ultimately landed her in jail. Addressing someone in the comment section who criticised her for flying on Spirit Airlines, Amari said she had to pay for five people and was about to get arrested.
Following the live stream, her daughter Destiny shared the stream on her own Instagram page and expressed in the caption that she could not believe that her mother got arrested. She went on to address an unnamed woman who is reportedly behind A’mari’s arrest in a subsequent post.

“Free my mom crusty draws w**re. You refuse to acknowledge an international icon [ … ] My mother is deserving of her respect, honor, and dignity. Hold your head up in the pound Mama [ … ] They can’t break your soul,” Destiny wrote.
A video was also shared in A’mari’s Instagram Stories, with the caption stating that the social media personality was arrested after fighting a flight attendant.
