American Man Caught After Being Wanted For Murder And Running Off To Jamaica

A passenger who arrived in Jamaica on the Carnival Sunrise Cruise ship on Monday, September 13, has finally been caught after he was reported to be wanted in the United States for murder and aggravated assault.

The ship carried a total of 1700 passengers who disembarked the vessel in Ocho Rios, where they were permitted to access several attractions on ‘No Movement Day’.

After arriving on the ship in Jamaica under the name Eric Lott, on the very controversial day, the man was reported to have run off, since he was not registered as a part of the departing passengers.

The man who is said to be from Atlanta Georgia was identified as 20-year- old George Sewell, and he was traced by several team’s including the Area Apprehension Team, the Jamaica Fugitive Team, US Marshals and other investigators who after 12 days caught him in St. Ann at approximately 4:10 pm.

He has so far been slapped with charges of breaching the Immigration Act and is booked for a St. Ann Parish Court appearance.
