Andre Blake Feels “Blessed” After Hosting Successful Goalkeeping Clinic In Jamaica – See Photos

Jamaica stand-out goalkeeper Andrew Blake expresses his joy from hosting a goalkeeping clinic in his name over the past two days. The Andre Blake Goalkeeper Clinic was held on the grounds of the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence in Kingston.

The 33-year-old, via his social page, shared several treasured moments from the clinic by way of photos, as well as a message of encouragement to young goalkeepers; he also thanked the individuals and organisations that helped him to make this event possible.

“I was blessed to witness the passion of our youth goalkeepers at The Andre Blake Goalkeeper Clinic over the last two days 🇯🇲. To all the goalkeepers – stay ready! Keep reaching for those saves & chasing your dreams. A special shoutout to my coach from the Union, @philwheddon, who led the clinic.”

He continued, “Thanks to my teammate @jahmali_waite & all the other coaches for your leadership, time & effort. To the lady that made the dream a reality @tanyattlee & @leepmarketing, we could not have done this without your planning! To @jffootball & @issasportsja, thanks for the incredible support. & finally, thanks to our sponsors for believing in the next generation of goalkeepers,” Blake wrote. 

The shared photos show Blake as an active participant in the clinic, which consisted of 24 youth goalkeepers, as he led by example, showing young goalkeepers some of his techniques. Blake also used the moment to hand out his jersey and gift basket to the participants.
