Beenie Man Charged… Faces February Court Date

The king of the Dancehall Beenie Man who was recently summoned by the St. Elizabeth police with regards to an illegal party that was kept on the 29th of November in the parish and another which was slated to be held on, December 31st has been charged.

According to the police Beenie Man turned himself into the Black River police after being served the summons. Beenie Man was subsequently charged with violating the Disaster Risk Management and Noise Abatement act and will face the court on February 10th 2020.

Further reports by the police stated that they entered an illegal event on November 29 in Shrewbury district of St. Elizabeth and upon their arrival patrons were seen running from the venue.

Beenie Man was formally warned back then but officially charged on December 31st.

In a video posted online we saw Beenie Man promoting a New Years Eve part “we affi ring in the news years.. we nuh care weh who wah seh” he stated without giving out the actual location of the party.

In a statement issued by the Police, Deputy Superintendent Narda Simms requested that all law-abiding citizens to do the right thing, to adhere to the disaster risk management act, and to continue to support the actions with regards to COVID-19.

The summons came months after Beenie Man was also visited by the police for an event reportedly kept at his home for his late mom “Mama Lilieth” who sadly past away in the summer of 2020.
