Bob Marley’s Grandson, Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley Found Dead

Bob Marley’s grandson, Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley, son of renowned reggae singer Stephen Marley, was found dead earlier today, December 27, 2022. Jo Mersa, who was only 31 years of age and was born on March 12, 1991, was found unresponsive in a car. A specific location was not given; however, it is reported that he was in the United States of America at the time of his unfortunate passing, reported the Jamaica Observer.

According to the report, the popular Jamaican-American reggae artiste was asthmatic his entire life and died from an asthma attack. Since then, people have taken to social media to express their condolences to the Marley family. One such person is dancehall artiste Bounty Killer. Bounty Killer shared a news report that spoke of the incident to his Instagram account, to which he added the caption that we have to appreciate life. He then went on to tag Stephen Marley in the post and add his condolences.
Another person who felt the need to express their deep-felt love and regret for the singer’s death is the Leader of the People’s National Party, Mark Golding. He spoke of Joseph Marley as a talented young reggae artiste and described his death as tragic. He also expressed that the loss of a child can be very heartbreaking and sent his regrets and well wishes to the Marley family, the Jamaica Observer reported.
The grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley is widely known for his songs, Burn It Down and Hurting Inside.
