Carib 5 Theatre in Cross Roads was buzzing Tuesday evening as many famous people turned up to the location to watch Bob Marley‘s ‘One Love Movie’ Premiere. To many people’s surprise, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle graced the red carpet at the well-attended event.
One of the most anticipated Jamaican movies of all time ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ is scheduled to be released to the public on February 14, 2024, however, the stars got a chance to see the movie first.
The Bob Marley biopic was produced by Paramount Studios, it displays the life and legacy of the Jamaican Reggae legend.
The leader of Jamaica, Prime Minister Andrew Holness who was also present took to social media to post several pictures from the night out and stated, “The premiere of the Bob Marley: One Love Movie in Jamaica signifies a momentous occasion for our nation and the global community.”
Holness also said, “It’s quite a big honour and respect to our culture.”
And, “As we celebrate the premiere of this film, let us reflect on the enduring impact of Bob Marley’s work, recognizing the importance of his contribution to global conversations on peace, love, and social change. May this cinematic tribute bring Bob Marley to a new generation, ensuring that his messages of hope and justice continue to inspire and resonate for years to come.”

Starring in the film are Kingsley Ben-Adir, who plays the legendary musician, and Lashana Lynch as his wife, Rita Marley. Other stars in the movie include James Norton, Nadine Marshall, Umi Mayers, Michael Gandolfini, Anthony Welsh, and Tosin Cole.
The movie will show how Bob Marley inspired generations with his message of love and unity, it will also give people a deep insight into how he overcame adversity and the journey behind his music.
