Bounty Killer And Dancehall Community Mourns Death Of Assailant Alliance

Omar Thompson, professionally known as Assailant Alliance, was shot and killed by unknown gunmen in California on Saturday, July 2. According to reports which vary, Assailant was shot by unidentified gunmen a few houses down from where he had been attending a house party that evening. The motive for the shooting is unknown and there has been no official report from the police.

Assailant was a long-time member of Bounty Killer’s Alliance music group and a well-known Dj and musician in the Jamaica music community. Members of the entertainment industry have since taken to social media to mourn the loss of the artiste and offer condolences to his family.

A shocked Shaggy was seemingly left speechless after the sudden death of the artiste, writing “WTF!” under a black square posted on his Instagram page and producer Skatta Burrel posted a short clip of the musician with the caption, “Appreciate the real ones around you cause tomorrow isn’t promised. Assailant Alliance has transitioned jah jah.”

Bounty Killer also mourning the loss of the artiste, offered condolences to his family and friends then later posted a video of Assailant performing at Reggae Sumfest in 2006 on his Instagram page and wrote “RIP to a real G Assailant Alliance”

The day after his passing, Assailant’s girlfriend who goes by the name Flaashyy on Instagram, posted a farewell message to him writing: “I’m so happy I gave you your flowers while you were here. So happy I took the time to tell you how proud I was of you of all the moves you were making to better yourself. We had dreams and plans and they were taking just like that. I will forever be proud of you. I love u and miss u and that patchy beard already. Until we meet again.”
