According to the World Track website, Ackeem Blake narrowly defeated Yohan Blake, his training partner and the 2011 World 100m champion, to win the men’s 60 meters.
Yohan finished slightly behind Ackeem with a timing of 6.64 seconds, which lost to Ackeem’s time of 6.63 seconds. A lot of Jamaica’s rising high school stars were on display at the Camperdown Classic 2023 event, while some pros also took advantage of the occasion to launch their seasons.
On the other hand, Williams, who won gold in the women’s 4x100m relay at the 2021 Olympics, established the standard with a strong winning time of 7.22 seconds. The 20-year-old showed that things have been going well so far with her great performance to start the new season after recently relocating to Jamaica to train locally with Yohan Blake.
