Buju Banton is back in the Studio working on his song “We are Soldiers in Jah Army” a song that he had done with the Marley’s before. It is clear he is getting ready for his first performance, after his incarceration. The song is powerful as Buju sings about his experience and how he never sell out when he went through trials and tribulation. “waan mi fi sink, but mi ship jus a sail” he sings.
Buju’s voice is a little different now, but he should be able to get it to sound just as it did before, before it is time for him to perform at his next concert. It is alleged that he will be embarking on a world tour “Long Walk To Freedom” , dates will be announced in the near future.
However, Buju Banton whose real name is Mark Myrie’s first performance could be at an event in Jamaica in March before he performs in the Bahamas and in Trinidad and Tobago.
His producer Donovan Jermaine of Penthouse Records, who is also Buju’s friend had released some information about plans for the upcoming events.
It is good to see that Buju the Grammy Award Winning international Reggae artiste is getting ready to entertain his loyal fans who never stopped asking for his release during the 10 years when he was in prison for drug charges.
