Buju Banton Thrills Huge Crowd During ‘Long Walk To Freedom’ Performance in New York

Buju Banton surprised many people back in May when he appeared in a video with longtime friend Dj Khaled in Florida, weeks later it was announced that he would be performing at the UBS Arena in Queens, New York on July 13, another show was subsequently added for the 14th.

Buju Banton who is currently 50 years old took to the stage Saturday night in a bright-orange coloured outfit, a contrast to the full white outfit he wore in Kingston during his ‘Long Walk to Freedom’ concert. This was Buju’s first performance in the US in over 15 years.

The New York leg of Buju Banton’s ‘Long Walk to Freedom’ concert was sold out according to Steven “Lenky” Marsden, “Buju Banton is back, UBS Arena… Seet yah sold out,” he stated in a video clip he shared prior to the starting of the show.

Fans who attended the concert ranked the performances, “10 outta 10” and “9 outta 10”.

At one point during his performance, Buju Banton recalled being told “You will never come back to United States of America,” he said his reply was, “Let’s see what God will do.”
