Business Man Killed and Five Persons Charged

Five persons have been charged with the murder of Howard Ares, a Kingston business man. His body was found in a shallow grave on Terminal Lane in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine on December 16th.

Sources revealed that the business man was doing transactions with people in the area when a dispute developed and he was kidnapped. When demands were not met, he was shot and buried.

The police investigated the case well and conducted a series of operations from December 29, 2018 to January 5, 2019. They have arrested a number of individuals. Marvin Wright a labourer of March Pen in the parish, Andrew Clement a Welder of Walkers Road in Old Harbour, Andrae Bailey a Jack Hammer operator of Old Harbour Bay, Javene Simpson a labourer of Old Harbour Bay and Rochelelle Wright a dancer of Old Harbour Bay.

All five will answer to charges on January 18th, 2019, in the St Catherine Parish Court. They were charged jointly with murder, murder with aggravation, conspiracy to murder, extortion, illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, robbery with aggravation, kidnapping, burglary and robbery with aggravation and conspiracy to prevent the burial of a corpse.
