Case Adjourned Against Woman Who Beat Daughter With Machete

[Sharingbuttons]The court case against Doreen Dyer, the woman who was seen in a video beating her daughter with a machete has been adjourned until January 15.

The matter was put before the court on Wednesday morning (Nov 15) for mention when her attorney, Bertram Anderson, made an application to the judge to indicate a possible sentence in the event that she pleads guilty.

A social enquiry report was ordered.

Ms Doreen Dwyer of St. Thomas was last month with charged with cruelty to a child after a video of her beating her daughter with a machete went viral.

The incident is said to have taken place about a year ago but the video surfaced this year.
