“Keep my wife’s name out of your f*cking mouth,” were the last words Will Smith shouted to comedian Chris Rock during the Oscars at the 94th Academy Awards show on Sunday, March 27 after right-hand slapping him to the face.
Since then, while Will Smith has openly apologized for his actions at the show, Chris Rock has remained silent. However, his silence soon ended when he appeared today, March 30, at the Boston Wilbur Theatre in Massachusetts to perform stand-up comedy.
“How was your weekend? I don’t have a bunch of shit about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I’m still kind of processing what happened. So, at some point I’ll talk about that shit. And it will be serious and funny,” stated Rock as he addressed the most infamous topic in the media.
In response to this, someone in the crowd shouted the words “F*ck Will Smith!”, however, the 57-year-old comedian quickly shut down any further commenting by stating that he’s going to tell some jokes and it’s nice to just be out.
Chris Rock’s ‘Ego Death World Tour’ prices have sky-rocketed since the incident at the Oscars on Sunday with some being priced 10 times the original amount. This increase is speculated to be due to anticipation from fans wanting to hear the comedian address the slap he received on live television from actor, Will Smith.
