Coach Hallgrimsson Talks on Jamaica’s 0-0 Draw with Trinidad and Tobago – Watch Interview

Reggae Boyz’s Head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson failed to secure a win in any of the two friendly matches against Trinidad and Tobago without the team registering a single goal. However, the head coach said he was more interested in seeing and getting to know his players than the result. In addition, the coach thinks Reggae Boyz played better than in the first game and created more chances.

The newly appointed coach was speaking in a post-match interview which was uploaded online by MG Sports TV. Coach Hallgrimsson gave his analysis about his team’s performance in their second match against Trinidad And Tobago by saying, “we had some good chances in the first half, positive yeah, the second half as the half went on I think we mix it too little, it was too many long balls, we should have mix it with playing on the ground more.”

Hallgrimsson continued his analysis by stating, “the priority of this match or these matches was to see the number of players we haven’t seen before play for Jamaica we did, everybody got minutes, some of them really did well with their minutes, some we need to wait for maybe a little bit longer, so am happy with having these games.

The coach lamented that overall it was a significant improvement for the Reggae Boyz compared to their 1-0 defeat in the first encounter. Pointing to the chances created by the Reggae Boyz, Hallgrimsson said he saw the players working as one team, both in attacking a defence.
