In footage circulating, the voice of a man is heard warning motorists to be careful as big stones are being thrown on vehicles by vigilantes on the Spanish Town to Ocho Rios route. He specified that these criminals are stationed on the bridge in the Linstead vicinity.

According to him, this is a ploy by criminals to get vehicles to a halt so that they can rob passersby or do the unthinkable. “Please be careful cause when yuh reach Linstead vicinity some man deh pan d bridge ina d Linstead vicinity a fling stone pan d vehicle dem fi yuh stop so dem can rob yuh or do weh dem wah do wid unu.”

The video continued by showing the severe damages done to two vehicles, a Toyota Probox, and a Toyota Tacoma van. The glass on the windscreen and headlamps were smashed from the impact of the stones. Both vehicles were seemingly ambushed close to the toll booth.

An unconfirmed report by the cameraman stated that a male motorist traversing on Highway 2000 got injured and broke his hand/arm after a stone flung by criminals penetrated his windscreen and struck him on it.
