Outstanding files caused the entertainer’s case to be rescheduled to March 4th, after he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court in Half-Way-Tree recently.
Bianca Samuels, Quada’s attorney revealed that the hearing was stalled as the prosecution did not produce a final statement.
They were told that the investigating officer was on leave and the liaison officer was not well, so they could not get the document.
However, it was revealed that the judge made a note that [March 4] was the final date for the document to be disclosed.
Samuels said her client was eager to prove his innocence and this was the seventh court appearance for him.
She spoke about how her client was exhausted and understandably so, but she knows that these lengthy delays were a part of the Jamaican court system.
It is alleged that Quada is irritated and frustrated, as he was on the past six occasions when his case was revisited. He just wants to prove his innocence and put it all behind him.
Quada whose real name is Shacquelle Clarke is currently out on $500,000 bail.
Quada was arrested after it was reported to the police that he had involvement in the death of Miguel Williams, a 30-year-old man, who resided in Sterling Castle, St. Andrew.
Reports are that an angry mob forced themselves into the dwelling of Williams, where he was beaten, and burned along with his house.
Speculations are that the motive behind the killing stems from the murder of an eight-year-old girl by the name of Shantae Skyers, who went missing and was found dead in Sterling Castle heights a few days after.
Arrested along with Quada and given the same charges, was Andrew Breakcliffe, also known as Grinch from the Sterling Heights community.
