Davian Bryan Charged With Wounding With Intent
Sergeant Delorme Green, Corporate Communications representative for Portland, has confirmed that Davian Bryan was charged with wounding with intent.
This charge against Bryan occurred while he was a fugitive and is separate from the other charges to be laid against him.
Reports arising from this incident are that he attacked a woman in the Durham Gap community in Portland and allegedly throw her over a gully. The woman was wounded and had to be hospitalized for treatment. A report was subsequently made to the police.
Furthermore, the head of the St. Thomas Police, Superintendent Alison Byfield updated that Bryan is not yet charged for his alleged crimes in the parish. She advised that they are awaiting the Portland police to conclude their investigation before the felon is transferred to St.Thomas for additional charges to be laid.
Supt. Byfield stated that Bryan will face an identification parade in the parish and expressed much confidence that justice will be served for the victims who were abducted.
In October 2021, Davian Bryan allegedly abducted a 9-year-old girl in Bath, St.Thomas. A few days after, he again abducted a 13-year-old girl from the same community. A manhunt was launched for both incidents and the children were found.
The accused has been on the run ever since but was captured in the Durham Gap community by the Portland police on March 23, 2022.
