Several of Reggae’s favourites took to the stage at Marcia Griffiths and Friends Concert, fans were left wanting more after Reggae singer Da’Ville performed his hit tracks. The show was in celebration of Marcia Griffiths’ 60th year in music, and Da’Ville was hand-picked by the icon to join the event’s lineup.

The On My Mind singer thrilled audiences with renditions of his hits, such as This Time I Promise, and performed Reggae covers of Bryan Adam’s Heaven and Tracy Chapman’s Baby Can I Hold You

Though Da’Ville’s set was facing time constraints, the singer made time to praise Griffiths, whom he dubbed the ‘Queen of Reggae’. After expressing his gratitude, he serenaded Griffiths with a gospel track, with Griffiths and the audience joining along to sing the song.

Following Da’Ville’s serenade, the artiste was out of time but began the first lines of his beloved single On My Mind before exiting the stage as members of the audience continued to sing the track. Watch the singer in action below:

On My Mind was a massive success for the multi-talented singer, who also writes, composes, and produces. Since rising to stardom in Jamaica in the early 2000s, Da’Ville has performed around the world and has relocated to America.

In a recent interview with the Jamaica Star, Da’Ville described his move to America as an eye-opening experience during which he gained a better understanding of the industry. The artiste also shared that he has learned to value his talents as there were Jamaican producers who took him for a fool earlier in his career.

Despite his bad experiences in the industry, Da’Ville has not lost his passion for music and creating soulful ballads. The Reggae singer recently released his single Only You, which debuted at #31 and went on top peak at #23 on the Itunes Reggae Chart ahead of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song and Stir It Up.
