Dog Detects When Owner is Going to Faint and Retrieves Medication and Water – Watch Videos

More than just the average pet, Australian shepherd Bailey provides his owner with life-saving assistance and is able to detect her fainting spells, retrieving her medication and water when she is in need.
Atlanta, Georgia, resident Katherine Graham has several health conditions, including POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and cardiomyopathy, which she has suffered from her entire life.
Cardiomyopathy makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body, and POTS causes an abnormal increase in your heart rate after sitting up or standing up.
As a result, Graham experiences fainting spells, but she is aided by her Australian Shepard service dog Bailey, whom she trained herself. Bailey can identify a change in the smell that precedes one of Graham’s episodes.
Graham films and shares her story of living with POTS on social media, and in one of the videos, Bailey can be seen jumping on Graham to warn her about the impending fainting spell after she gets up from around the kitchen counter.
The capable pup is also able to retrieve her medication from the counter and, with the help of a towel tied to the refrigerator door’s handle, quickly get her water.
