The “Bawl Out” singer went live via Instagram to vent her frustration against the dubbed Greatest one-night show on earth “Sting” organizers. Dovey Magnum started by stating that she is one of the people who promoted Sting the most leading up to the staging of the concert hence she was looking forward to making her long-awaited debut on the Sting stage.
She said organizers informed her that she was scheduled to perform at 4:45 am, which never happened, then she was told that she would appear after ten other performers. Eventually, she did not receive a call-up from any of the stage managers/coordinators. Also, the female deejay claims the booking agent Tamika and several other agents and players conspired to sabotage her, claiming she and Tamika got into an argument after the artist asked her about some business-related issues.
The “Bad Gyal Team” creator went on to blast the chief event planners for their chaotic management of the iconic event. Since Sting 2022 had to be closed off by police, several famous entertainers had to rush their performances.
Dovey Magnum had to grab a mic and took to the stage alongside trending artist Valiant who later joined her. Without any backing from the band as the police had already closed off the event and shut off the music equipment.
In the emotional 20-plus minute video, the female entertainer went on to disclose that the financial aspect of her agreement with the organizers was far from convincing. Claiming the booking agent took ten percent of her appearance fee. Her eyes fill with tears as she shares the struggles and frustration she has faced and continues to face as a female artiste in the music industry.
She told her fans on her live that she had a very special performance planned for Sting. Since she missed the opportunity to perform at Reggae Sumfest in 2019 with her breakout hit “Bawl Out.”
