Edward Seaga Passes away on His 89th Birthday
Breaking news is that former Prime Minister of Jamaican Most Honourable Edward Phillip George Seaga died earlier today in a Miami hospital. The minister passed aweay about 1pm tuesday hours after celebrating his 89th burthday. He was reportedly getting treatment in Miami for 2 chronic illnesses.
PM Andrew Holness accompanied by Olivia Grange flew out last Wednesday to visit their mentor and JLP party member in Miami, Florida. Holness reported that “I assured our former prime minister that Jamaica is in a good place and that our economic recovery is being carefully managed to ensure social equity and prosperity for the working class masses of the member. I also passed on to him, the many expressions of concern, love, prayers and good wishes for him from the Jamaican people and from his former constituency of West Kingston,” Holness stated.

Edward Seaga was the 5th prime minister of Jamaica.
PM holness addresses Jamica on the heels of Seaga’s passing “It is with great sadness that I inform the nation of the passing of the Most Honourable Edward Phillip George Seaga, the fifth Prime Minister of Jamaica,”, “The family of Mr Seaga has asked me to express gratitude on their behalf for the many prayers and messages of comfort and support offered by the people of Jamaica.”
Earlier Some reports suggest that Mr. Seaga has cancer however we are unable to provide any proof behind such report. The body of Seaga is expected to return to Jamaica asap after which funeral preparations will begin.
