Ex-husband Charged With Murder Of Jamaican-born Doctor Killed In Georgia
As per reports, Dr Samantha Banton Woolery who is a 42-year-old medical resident was found lifeless in her apartment on Father’s Day, Sunday, July 16. After the discovery, her ex-husband was taken into police custody and charged.
Her body was found after she did not turn up to work, causing her co-workers to search for her, her apartment was initially visited by co-workers who alerted the police after finding her lifeless body, as per the report the door to her apartment was not locked.
Woolery who is a native of Ballard’s Valley, St Elizabeth in Jamaica is believed to have died from multiple stab wounds sustained the day prior to her body being discovered.
According to the police, the suspect Mickey Anthony Woolery who is 49 years old was arrested over 500 miles from where the incident took place.
The suspect was slapped with several charges including felony murder, felony aggravated assault, felony aggravated battery, felony possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and felony malice murder.
Further reports detail that the victim recently graduated from Western Michigan University, following her graduation, she was scheduled to begin her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine located in Atlanta.
