Fire Fighters Protest Outside Minister Of Labour Office In Kingston
A fourth stand has now been taken in the form of a protest by members of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, who stood outside the Minister of Labour and Security at the National Heroes Circle in Kingston today.
The small group of fire fighters protesting with placards are said to be demonstrating against the Government’s poor staff welfare at the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
With a bamboo torch and placards crying out for “HELP” because they are “losing health care coverage”, they are now the latest in the wave of protests that have occurred since last week.
This protest follows the strike of the National Housing Trust, the strike of the air traffic controllers and the strike of the National Water Commission (NCB) workers.
