According to reports, the woman was travelling in a Toyota Wish motor car, and the officer was in his marked service vehicle.

The woman was reportedly about to drive on Beechwood Avenue towards Half-Way-Tree Road when the policeman allegedly proceeded past the red light and hit the Toyota Wish, causing the car to overturn.

In a video taken by a motorist at the scene of the incident, onlookers can be seen rushing to aid the female passenger, who appears disoriented as they help her out of the overturned car.

Seemingly reinforcing reports that the policeman’s driving initiated the accident, a woman off-camera in the video expresses that the officer was speeding, “them a fly suh dem affi careful,” she warns.

The female motorist and the officer were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
