On the day the murder trial for popular rapper XXXTentacion was scheduled to start, new footage has been released that is alleged to be related to why he was killed.
Daily Loud on Twitter posted the video to their social on Tuesday with the caption, “XXXTentacion withdrawing $50,000 from the bank moments before he was killed in 2018 has been released following the start of his murder trial.” The Look At me! artiste can be seen speaking with the bank teller and going through the required withdrawal process.

According to police reports, it was stated that XXXTentacion, birth name Jahseh Onfroy, was at the bank that day to withdraw the funds needed to purchase a new motorcycle when he was ambushed outside of a car dealership. Four men, 28 year old Michael Boatwright, 24-year-old Trayvon Newsome, 26-year-old Robert Allen and 26-year-old Dedrick Williams, were arrested in connection with the murder in 2018.
However, Robert Allen was the sole party who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges and will also testify in court against the other three who will be on trial. If convicted of first-degree murder, Williams, Newsome, and Boatwright will serve life in prison.
Reports state that the Moonlight entertainer was taken by surprise on June 18, 2018 at around 4 PM at RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach. Opening statements from all parties involved were heard on Tuesday.
Varying arguments of a sloppy investigation by law enforcement, to a robbery gone wrong were included. The failure of the Police to investigate Canadian rapper Drake, who was also implicated in the murder (along with Tekashi 6ix9ine), was also mentioned.
There was a post made on social media stating that if he died, champagnepapi (Drake’s Instagram handle) was responsible, but it was later revealed that his account was hacked. Prosecutors in the case also voiced that there was no available evidence to link the God’s Plan singer to the murder.
Williams, one of the accused, was recognized by a store clerk and surveillance video that was obtained. In prosecutor Pascale Achille’s statement, Newsome, Boatwright and Williams set out to commit armed robbery but ended up killing someone. Allen was said to have also been a part of the group but flipped so that he would receive a lighter sentence.
The first witness to testify was the teller who helped XXXTentacion to withdraw money on the day that he was killed. Cecilia Ramos, Bank of America teller, mentioned, “He came in to ask for $250,000 but I was only able to give him $50,000,”
Leonard Kerr, uncle to the deceased, also testified, voicing that, “The taller one was like ‘you don’t come out of the effing car, you don’t come out of the effing car!”

Boatwright’s attorney, Joseph Kimok pointed out an alternative shooter in the form of Williams’s friend (another of the accused), who was stated to have the same build as Boatwright and was also seen inside the store.
According to Kimok, the friend may have gotten into Williams’ car in the cameras blindspot at any time prior to the shooting as available evidence could prove Boatwright to be at home and asleep during the murder. Boatwright shares a home with his grandmother.
