Former Manchester United Manager Interested in Coaching Reggae Boyz: Reports

According to reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, the former manager of English club team Manchester United has been interviewed and is now a strong possible candidate to be appointed as coach for Jamaica Men’s senior footballing team.
Following his appointment as the Reggae Boyz head coach in September 2022, Heimir Hallgrimsson announced his resignation from the position at the end of June 2024 and the spot has been vacant since.
A reported 40 candidates have shown interest in the job, Notably, former national assistant coach Miguel Coley showed interest via a recently released interview. “To be called as a local boy would be amazing… I would love to coach the national team one day,” he stated.
Aside from Solskjær and Coley, the names Dwight Yorke and Rene Simoes have been mentioned as other persons who are interested in the job, however, Solskjær as reported by Nationwide News is the front-runner for the position.
An announcement is expected to be made in the near future.
