Renowned reggae singer Freddie McGregor captivated music enthusiasts with his melodious voice at a party kickstarting Reggae Month in South Florida on February 4.
The event, staged by Inner Circle at the Blue Martini nightclub in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, commemorated the life of reggae artiste Dennis Emanuel Brown. Known as the ‘Crown Prince of Reggae,’ Dennis crafted over 75 albums and played a pivotal role in the lovers rock subgenre of reggae.
Dennis passed away on July 1, 1999, at the age of 42, at the University Hospital in St. Andrew.
With his tribute marking the beginning of Reggae Month 2024, patrons at the event saw performances from reggae entertainers Marla Brown, Visions Band, Mykal Grammy Rose, Chino McGregor, and Freddie McGregor.
Freddie McGregor had patrons singing along when he performed his popular song Love Has Found Its Way. The song also garnered many cheers from the audience, and the joyous scene was captured and shared online.
