Funeral Service For The Mother Of Sanchez Set For April 30th
The funeral for the late Bridget Anestine Ivey, the mother of Reggae singer Sanchez has been set for Saturday the 30th of April in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada where she migrated in the year 1986.
The information was given to the Jamaica Observer by the singer’s wife Monica Jackson who recently spoke about her husband being in a very silent state since the passing of his mom on Tuesday, and she noted that the funeral service is set to take place at the Little Funeral Home chapel with an 11:00 am start time and the burial taking place at Parklawn Cemetery.
Bridget Anestine Ivey passed away at the age of 74 from cancer at her home in Canada, and at the moment of her passing, her children and grandchildren except for Sanchez were present, he was unable to do so based on him living in Jamaica.
The mother of the singer had four children in total, with Sanchez being the eldest of them.
Sanchez whose real name is Kevin Anthony Jackson is well known for long-lasting songs such as “Never Dis Di Man”, “Lonely Won’t Leave Me Alone” as well as gospel songs such as “Amazing Grace”, “Praise Him”, and “Who Is This Man” which it is understood that he got the inspiration to do from his mother who was an evangelist at the Rehoboth Apostolic Church located in Independence City, in Portmore, St. Catherine.
Monica Jackson, the wife of Sanchez has also laid out on the table that donations to the Canadian Cancer society are being welcomed as an expression of sympathy.
