Dancehall artiste Gio began honing his musical skills at a tender age while growing up in Portmore, Jamaica and managed to master his skills while living in the US.
Gio recently dropped his single, ‘Don’t Know’ which speaks primarily about bypassing negativity and barriers in life.
The single was produced by Fuze, whose unparalleled talent also plays a part in tracks for notable artistes such as; Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel, Chronic Law, Bayka, among others.
In the track, Gio pleads “Lord you see and know, just cover my soul, I don’t wanna be like before, through the rain i’m knocking at your door, Do nuh mek dem draw mi out like lace, to the Father everyday i pray, Do nuh mek me walk alone, dem cyah obeah mi wid old cologne, Father God watch mi path and make my way, Jah to you alone I pray.”
The video was done by RB Visuals and effortlessly embodies the message in the track through thought provoking visuals. The official video has amazed thousands of views and continues to be curated daily worldwide.
Speaking with Gio he shares; “The track speaks to evolution of oneself and not living in the image that they have been portrayed upon you. It’s a track that allows you to look in the mirror and realize that you are more than what others think and you are capable of achieving anything. The song has been doing great so far and I am thankful for everyone who has played a part in the success of the song thus far.”
With his career taking new heights, Gio plans to keep the momentum going by dropping a collaboration with Rytikal in coming weeks.
