The Jamaica Men’s National Football Team is minutes away from their encounter with El Salvador in Central America. They arrived earlier in the week, having more days to prepare together than in past WQC matches, something Leon Bailey highlighted in an interview he did recently with TVJ.
In another interview about the upcoming matches, Jamaica’s head coach Theodore Whitmore outlined that while there are big-name players, what is important “is the execution on the pitch.” He went on to remind us that, “the last two games we’ve managed to garner four points and a win and we want to build on that. So again, it’s the execution that is going to be important.”
The Starting 11 vs El Salvador tonight includes captain and goalkeeper Andre Blake, Kemar Lawrence, Adrian Mariappa, Damion Lowe and Oniel Fisher in defence, Anthony Grant and Je-Vaughn Watson in the holding midfield, Leon Bailey, Kemar Roofe and Bobby Reid playing just behind Shamar Nicholson who will be leading the line.
Notably, Antonio, Williams nor Morrison started, three players that are loved by supporters.
