Homeless Man Dies After Being Set on Fire in Kingston

A homeless man has died from the injuries he sustained after being set on fire in Kingston.

According to reports from the Jamaica Observer, the homeless man, identified as Lionel Johnson, was set on fire in the vicinity of the National Heroes Circle in Kingston on Monday morning. After discovering that Johnson was on fire, members of the constabulary force assisted him to a hospital, but he was later pronounced dead while receiving treatment for his burns.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with no motive or assailant identified as of yet. Reports state that due to the processing of the crime scene, traffic in the area was diverted.
