Kanye “Ye” West, has been temporarily banned for 24 hours from Instagram after attacking his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, her boyfriend Pete Davidson and also hurling racial slurs at Trevor Noah, an associate of Davidson.
In the past, Davidson had spoken about his drug addiction and also his mental health struggles, and Kanye then used that opportunity to post his “concerns ” for his ex-wife by claiming that Davidson got her “hooked on drugs” and has been going to rehab every two months.
He went further to attack Davidson’s “Daily Show” host partner, Trevor Noah by posting a picture of him with the caption that has since been deleted “All together now… K**n baya my lord k**n baya k**n baya my lord K**n baya Oooo’ lord K**n baya.”
The post by Kanye was reported by Noah to be a derogatory and offensive term used to refer to a black person which he responded to share his disgust with Ye, as a black man being racist to another.
“Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree.,” he further added, “tricking us into dividing ourselves up into splinters so that we would never unite into a powerful rod,” commented Noah that was also deleted by Instagram.
Since then, a spokesperson for Meta announced that Ye’s Instagram account has been restricted from posting, commenting and sending direct messages for 24 hours and further steps will be taken if he does not comply to the company policies.
