Jamaica Advised to Stay on Alert as New Area in The Caribbean is Monitored; Potential Storm or Hurricane

There is now a new area of increased weather activity that is being monitored by the US National Hurricane Center, and Jamaica is once again advised to stay alert.
The announcement details that the new area in the Caribbean shows a potential to become a storm or hurricane within the next seven days, according to Weather Jamaica.
This developing region comes on the heels of a storm watch being lifted after the country experienced intense rainfall from Tropical Cyclone Number 22.
Areas that were affected by the heavy rainfall experienced flash floods, damaged infrastructure, and broken roadways.
The hurricane season, which began on June 1, will come to an en end on November 30.
