Jamaica Strikes 5 Medals In Bodybuilding Competition

A team of 13 Jamaicans participated, in the Central American and Body Building competition, and were successfully awarded 2 Gold medals and 3 silver.

This year’s competition was the 47th one to ever beheld, and it went on for four days in the country of Dominica Republic.

The gold medalists were Ashane Gordon Morisson and Rick James who took the titles for women and men consecutively.

Celebrating silver medals are, Deidre lewis who placed second in the Women’s Bikini Short class, Rajae Grandison, for the Junior Bodybuilding event and Akeem Messam-Hinds, the second-place winner for the Men’s physique Tall class.

Other honourable mentions for their effort on the team are kemoy Maine, Daniel Haighton and Dwight James, who placed 4th, 5th and 6th in their events.
