The USA scored first in the 11th minute after some poor defending from the Boyz, Jamaica managed to score in the 22nd minute via a well taken shot from outside the box from Michail Antonio to level the match. Both teams got good chances to win the match with a goal scored by the Jamaicans being ruled out.

Many Jamaican supporters left the National Stadium in Kingston unhappy with the result and the performance of the referee, especially after he ruled out a headed goal late in the match from Damion Lowe which was a controversial decision by the referee.

This latest draw leaves the Reggae Boyz in 5th position in the table, this latest result also means that the Boyz need to win several of their upcoming matches to stand a chance in qualifying for the next World Cup. Jamaica now has 6 more remaining games to play, two matches away and the other 4 at home.

As reported by PM Holness, the National Stadium reopened to 5,000 vaccinated spectators allowing them to watch, in person.
