Jamaican Swimming Team Inspired by Alia, the Jamaican Olympic Swimmer, Dive into Action at UANA.

Jamaica’s young female swimmers got prepared physically and mentally before they went diving into action at the second UANA swimming Cup in Lima Peru from February 20 to 23. 

Brooke Hopkins, 14, and Zaneta Alvaranga, 15, led the five-member all-female team into action at the Videna Aquatic Complex in the 200- meter individual medley (IM).

The other Jamaicans were 16-year-old Gabrianna Banks; Kokolo Foster, 13; and 12-year-old Christanya Shirley, who are among the 450 athletes from 25 countries who were in the South American nation.

Alia the Jamaican Olympic swimmer was there to support the team as it was the first competitive swim meet for 2020.
