Jamaica’s Police Commissioner Tests Positive for COVID-19

The leader of Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and the National Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson was reported by the JCF to be carrying the rampant COVID-19 virus.

As a result of this recent finding, several of his colleagues have been tested and are awaiting results, two, in particular, are said to be with mild flu-like symptoms, Several persons are also placed in quarantine.

Major General Antony Anderson has since called on Jamaicans to follow the COVID-19 protocols and people who are displaying symptoms to get tested. He was told about his positive result on August 22nd, it was future reported that his symptoms are mild and he is currently in quarantine.

The Office of the Police Commissioner was closed for deep cleaning and sanitisation.

Since the pandemic Jamaica has seen 1413 cases, 817 of such cases have recovered while unfortunately, 16 people have passed away as a result of the deadly virus.
