
Jamaica’s Two-Man Bobsleigh Team Placed 30th At The Winter Olympics
Jamaica’s two-man bobsleigh team, led by pilot Shanwayne Stephens and Nimroy Turgott, did not advance to the top 20 finals at the Winter Olympics in Beijing. After 3 heats, the team finished in 30th place with a time of 3:04.12.
However, despite not advancing to the finals, Jamaica still has another chance to represent in the men’s bobsleigh event at the Winter Olympics. Pilot Shanwayne Stephens will be leading the four-man bobsleigh team on February 18 along with pushers Matthew Wekpe, Ashley Watson and brakeman Rolando Reid.
