Jolyan Silvera, a once prominent figure in the political world, has been remanded once again as he prepares to vigorously defend himself in his upcoming hearing set for April 11, as per his attorney Peter Champagnie.
The media is still not allowed to cover the court proceedings, which adds an air of mystery and intrigue to a case that is already a complex one.
The saga of Jolyan Silvera continues to captivate the public, with many eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this unfolding drama. Following the legal proceeding earlier today, Silvera’s lawyer was quizzed on the latest update on the case.
Despite being tight-lipped on specific details of the trial, Champagnie revealed that his client is maintaining his innocence and is eagerly waiting for his day in court to seemingly clear his name.
Champagnie added that there are no concerns over his client’s well-being at the moment via an interview.
Also, he explained how he intends to get his client out on bail as soon as possible, “The matter is fixed for bail application on the 11th of April, on that date, the court will hear submissions from us as to why it is that Mr Silvera is a good and fit candidate for bail.”
In regards to the media’s continued ban from covering the case, Champagnie says the judge was well in her right for the controversial decision.
Silvera is currently in custody as the main suspect of his wife, Melissa Silvera, death.
