JPS Issued Strike Notice
The Jamaica Public Service Company Limited is facing likely disruption in its operations after being issued with a 72-hour strike notice.

On Friday, the National Workers Union served this notice to the light and power company.
Despite assurances from the company’s management, an agreement concerning the employment terms of 30 workers has not been implemented, RJR reports.

According to the NWU, the company pledged to transition these employees from contract workers to permanent staff effective March 1, but there has been no progress on this matter.
