The accused women, Timone Williams (Rusty), Nadine Aldridge, Casiann Lewis (Chrissy), Yoland Vassell, and Shakeema McLeod were charged with wounding with intent and unlawful wounding and are expected to appear in court on November 6, 2023. They are all currently out on bail.

Dowdie, having undergone multiple surgeries at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) because of her condition, seems to remain positive despite her situation and shared a video of her progress on her Instagram account with the caption, “The time is Now‼️.”

In the video, Dowdie is shown in a wheelchair, which she leaves behind as she stands, and with the help of an attendant takes step after step with her hand on the rails on either side of her. Popcaan’s St. Thomas Native ft. Chronic Law was the audio playing in the background of the video.
