Jamaican professional footballer, Khadija “Bunny” Shaw, netted an impressive double to earn Manchester City’s win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the FA Women’s Super League (WSL) at Brisbane Road in London.
Shaw’s performance resulted in City securing a 3-0 win. She placed the team ahead in the first 41 minutes from an Alex Greenwood corner and then secured a second goal after half-time in the 47th minute by taking advantage of a defensive error.
Forward Lauren Hemp then netted the third goal in the 76th minute.
Manchester City’s coach, Gareth Taylor, had this to say about Shaw while speaking to Sky Sports after the match, “She has a lot more to come I believe but she will score goals. She has proven that previously and proven that here.”
The 25-year-old cemented her place as the top goalscorer in the WSL for the season with five goals from four matches.
