Kidnapped Taxi Man Returns Home Badly Beaten

The 38-year-old taxi man that was kidnapped in St. Catherine last Wednesday, has finally been released after the requested ransom was paid. According to the man whose name has been withheld, at about 9:00 am of last Tuesday he was snatched up by the men out of his garage.

The taxi man said that during the process of him being kidnapped, he was beaten with an iron pipe and hit in the head with a gun after trying to defend himself with Taekwondo even though he was eventually abducted he said if it was not for his fighting skills, he probably would not be alive.

It was after the severe beating, that the Cab driver’s girlfriend was contacted from his phone and the ransom requested. $400,000 was requested for his release.

As described by the man, the ordeal was a nightmare to him which now prevents him from folding his hand since the gunmen damaged his risk.

Upon being brought to the place of captivity, the taxi driver stated that the Don told him everything was good and even had the man that damaged him with the iron beaten. At this point, the man explained that they had someone to watch over him; however, that person was not interested to be a part of the construct and even brought him food and drinks to ensure he was alright.

Before being released the Taxi man stated that the Don said he was testing, to see if the man’s family loved him.

Since the Kidnapping, the matter was reported to the St. Catherine Northern Division Police who have been investigating the case with the Counterterrorism, and organized crime unit.
