The Kingston Eastern Police has been in an extremely no-nonsense mood since the start of the year. The Jamaica Constabulary Force took to Twitter to announce another gun find in the division, this time seizing two high-powered firearms.
The guns seized are an AK47 Rifle with 29 rounds and a Glock pistol with an extended magazine containing 12 rounds. This is indeed another victory, however small in the Jamaica Constabulary’s Force fight to curtail the current crime wave grappling the nation.
It is reported that about 11:15 last night, a group of men opened fire on a police team in Bull Bay, St Andrew. The team of officers returned fire, at which the men ran, the guns were left behind. The latest find brings to thirteen, the number of guns found since the start of the year in the Division.
While many have lauded the efforts of the police, the general concern of citizens on Twitter, is the lack of citizen arrests along with gun finds.
Surge Operations continue in the area.
