Likkle Vybz Expresses Frustration, Says “Police Harassment Jus a Badda Mi Brain. Three Time One Year, Dem a Falla Mi Trail”
Following his family’s latest altercation with the police, dancehall artiste Likkle Vybz, born Adidja Jaheim Palmer, is speaking out and has poured out his frustration in his new single, Greatness.
During their most recent confrontation with the police, which was captured in a now-viral video, his home was raided in search of alleged scammers. The Palmer family has expressed on multiple occasions their exasperation with the local authorities, whom they believe are targeting them.
Likkle Vybz has turned to music to further express his frustration with his family’s seemingly endless run-ins with the police, previewing his single Greatness on Monday. In the short preview of the track shared on Likkle Vybz’s Instagram page, the artiste conveys his resentment of being a “walking target” despite never partaking in illegal activities to earn his money.
Despite the conflicts arising in his life, Likkle Vybz shares his determination and expresses the assurance he has in his greatness while noting that his enemies are afraid of it. Directly addressing his family’s encounters with the police, the deejay shares how the altercations have been affecting him.
“Police harassment jus a badda mi brain. Three time one year, dem a falla mi trail. Mi a chill in a mi house, dem a stan a mi gate seh mi have gun and drugs weh mi lock a mi place. Wah kinda profile dis a falla mi face,” Likkle Vybz sings on the track.
The single was produced under Likkle Vybz and his brother Likkle Addi’s Uptown Gaza Records label and composed by Kahtion.
