Gospel Reggae singer Lieutenant Stitchie, born Cleveland Laing, is facing a critical health battle after suffering a severe brain haemorrhage that has left him unresponsive. The former Dancehall star, known for his hit song ‘Wear Yuh Size,’ is currently in a long-term care facility, requiring extensive rehabilitation care.
In response to the tragic turn of events, his family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his medical treatment and living expenses. The campaign, initiated by Sophia Laing on September 2, has so far raised over USD $1,600 of its $100,000 goal.
The family’s heartfelt appeal reads, “Dear family, friends, and well-wishers, we are reaching out to you during this incredibly challenging time. Our beloved Cleve ‘Lt Stitchie’ Laing, a husband, father, and friend, has recently suffered a severe brain haemorrhage that has left him unresponsive.”
The statement continues, “We urgently need your help to provide the necessary care in a long-term facility where he can receive rehabilitation.”
A brain haemorrhage is a life-threatening condition caused by bleeding between the brain tissue and the skull or within the brain itself.
