Mad Cobra Arrested in USA; Found With Cocaine and Gun

Dancehall veteran Everton Brown who is more commonly known as Mad Cobra is the latest Jamaican to run foul of the law in the United States of America.

Reports are that on Tuesday, the 55-year-old was stopped by police for speeding along I-95 in Florence County. He was driving a black BMW SUV.

After being stopped by the police, a search was carried out on the vehicle the entertainer was driving. During the search, the lawmen reportedly found two kilos of cocaine and a 9mm Beretta pistol.

As a result of the find, Mad Cobra was arrested and taken into custody, he is currently at the Florence County Detention Center as he awaits a bond hearing.

As things stand, Mad Cobra is facing charges of trafficking cocaine plus possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Brown is known to hail from Portmore, Jamaica and was a mega dancehall star in the 1990s with hit songs such as ‘Flex’, ‘Press Trigger’, ‘Dis Dem Anyweh’, ‘Dun Wife’, and ‘Defend It’.
